Low-End BMS for Thundersky 90amp/hr.

Specifically designed for ThunderSky's Lithium Iron Phosphate chemistry. This is an inexpensive low-end trip point BMS that mounts directly on top of the battery terminal posts. Designed for Thundersky Lithium Ion Batteries in the 90 amp/hr size, other monitor boards may be designed to fit other amp/hr battery formats.
In a low end BMS system the monitoring electronics merely trips at specific high and low cell voltages. This simplistic monitoring data may be used as a standalone BMS. The main function of this low end BMS is to enable the filling of all cells at the end of charging.
All monitor boards are daisy chained with all the other monitoring boards. This simple 3-wire data buss of high and low trip point signals maybe used standalone or used with other indicators or relays in a design of your own making, see the downloads section for a simple example.
The high voltage trip condition for given cell will also engage a resistor shunt on the board, to route excess current away from that cell. The amount of shunt current is dependent on the monitor board design and requires a matching current in the charger profile, for the last stage of charging.
Please contact Black Sheep with specific details on your battery pack size, charger and vehicle application. For example if your battery pack consists of 30 cells in series then you will need 30 monitor boards.
All battery monitor systems are custom built to suit the EV conversion in question. Mounting hardware is available seperately, or may be handled by the customer. There are no refunds for any BMS related product.
